Done!

Posted by DavidNYC

I am DONE WITH LAW SCHOOL! I can hardly believe it! Three years have just flown by. I finished my last exam a few hours ago, and I officially graduate in a week. What's also amazing to me is that I started this blog shortly after I began law school, and I've managed to keep it running the entire time - but only, of course, with the help of several guest posters.

Anyhow, I'm grateful to all of you for your loyal readership this past years, and for putting up with me when I whined about exams, papers, the job search, etc. So thank you!

UPDATE: I'm moving back up to NYC tomorrow, so posting will be slow until I'm settled in.

I just wanted to say - Congratulations! Law school is a long, hard, haul, and that you kept this wonderful site going as you studied is a real accomplishment. I hope you will continue the site, and put your shiny new degree to great use!

Congrats! Now on to the bar. What area of law did you focus on?

Thanks so much. I actually didn't have any particular focus - I just took whatever interested me. Though last summer (at the firm I worked at), I became interested in patent litigation, so I took patent law and then a patent trial practice class this year. And that's the area I'll be going into this fall.

My standard advice for the Bar exam: realize that all you have to do is pass. Every point correct above that threshold represents time you spend studying that you could've spent doing something else.

Congrads & Best of Luck David. I've worked for and with Attorneys most of my life, the best ones were the most honest and sincere.

Back to Square One: A Research Proposal on the Economic Impact of Texas Courthouses

Heh, exciting I know.

David,

Congratulations!

To have survived law school AND kept a major blog going is an AMAZING accomplishment!

Well well well... congratulations! Of course, it came at the expense of never hanging out when I was in D.C., but win some lose some I suppose. You'll have to make it up here one weekend -- I got a place for you to hang your hat, and the invitation is officially open.

I'm heading to law school in DC in the fall, so I hope to be feeling the same joy in 3 years. What law school did you attend?

You aren't really done until you take the bar. On that score (having taken the NY bar) remember a) its just a test and b) remember the phrase "in the best interest of the child" for domestic relationships :)

Congrats! DavidNYC will be back in NYC!

I'm glad you took the class on congressional investigations -- it should make for interesting blogging next spring.
