The Last Frontier
Posted by DavidNYCAlaska, aka "The Last Frontier," is about as far from a swing state as you can get, but I've always found it intriguing. It's only ever gone Dem once (in `64, for LBJ), but looks poised to elect a Democrat, Tony Knowles, to the Senate this year. This last fact has put Alaska on everyone's radar this year, so I'd like to take this opportunity to mention a new blog by an Alaskan and friend of mine, Jarfingle. Jonathan plans to write about travel rather than politics (though he is an experienced political hand), but I think his blog will nonetheless be a great introduction to a state that most of us could probably stand to learn a bit more about.
