Movin' on Down

Posted by DavidNYC

Tomorrow (Sunday) I move back down to DC to embark on my second year of law school. As I've mentioned before, this is going to be a very busy time for me: Moving into my new apartment, early interview week, the beginning of classes, and starting journal work. I found out recently that I won a spot on the Georgetown International Environmental Law Review, so I'm very happy about that. I also finally got my EIW interview list - I wound up with interviews at 12 of my top 15 picks, so that's good news as well.

So please bear with sporadic posting from me for the next little while. I'll try to toss up some open threads when I can, and please feel free to post any new polls in any of the existing threads, even if they cover different states.

Congratulations on swinging the spot on the Review. Environmental Law is going to be a top priority once we get a President who understands its importance to the globe's well-being. Georgetown, of course, is an exceptional environment, and much good work, even whole careers, derives from the socializing opportunities the place avails.

If you find yourself pressed for time, just make an open thread every now and then, and I'm sure the readers you have attracted can make things interesting.

All the best.

Congratulations on the new position, David. Get settled and come back 'swinging', ok?

Always good to see more energetic, bright people focus on environmental issues. Enjoy the opportunity!

I love Washington! You should try to catch a few Washington National Opera performances over at the Kennedy Center. If you're not an opera fan, you will be, as their performances are usually first rate. I get up to the Kennedy Center whenever I can and I've seen some memorable performances up there. This year's Billy Budd should be truly outstanding and one of the city's biggest cultural events of the year.
