Unfortunately, Moul ran a typical campaign for a Democrat in Nebraska. She raised a large amount of money and spent it all in the last few weeks on television ads. This is the same strategy that failed for Nancy Thompson in 2004 against Lee Terry.

Kleeb in NE-3 and Esch in NE-2 ran strong grassroots campaigns. I think what's needed in NE-1 this time around is a political outsider, someone young who can energize folks in Lincoln and the rest of the district to get out and mobilize voters.

Good picks in AZ-01, PA-06, and AL-03

I think we should go for rematches in NV-03, NY-25, NY-29, IL-10, NC-08, and WA-08.  All of these challengers came much closer than ever expected and with more attention from the national party these guys could win.

Steve Udall is a good choice for AZ-01. 

Dan Wofford should try again in PA-06 as he came so close in 2002. 

2004 nominee David Ashe should run in VA-02. 

Joe Turnham is a good choice for AL-03, but maybe former Congressman Glen Browder could be brought out of retirement.  He is only 64 and I think he could win.

Do you think Stender should come back?  Ferguson's aggressive "Stender the Spender" campaign actually raised her name ID. The problems with this district include the incumbent friendly district lines and the extraordinary cost to advertise  on NeW York TV.

I really think Kellam was an underrated candidate who deserves a second chance. If he doesn't run , Ashe would be a great choice.

How about Mary Jo Kilroy's chances? I think she could win in 2008 if the Iraq War stays the paramount issue.

Do you really think Burner can win in 2008? The inexperience issue is the albatross that's tightly fastened around her neck.

Forgot about them

Stender should definately run again, as should Esch. 

Im not sure about Kilroy.  Everybody thought that she would win, but she did not. 

Burner should definately try again.  She came very close to beating him and with the higher Democratic turnout in a Presidential year, I think she could win.

Kellam was badly hurt by the report of his charges of assault.  Im almost certain that he would have won if it hadn't been for that.

All 218 voting Democrats voted in favor of the Small Business Tax Relief Act of 2007. 45 Republicans voted against this popular legislation.

Michelle Bachmann, Vito Fossella, Scott Garrett, Thad McCotter and Marilyn Musgrave are five potentially vulnerable Republicans who voted against tax cuts for the companies that created the majority of the new jobs in America.

Jim Gerlach, Dave Reichert, Robin Hayes, Heather Wilson, Deborah Pryce, Vern Buchanan and Charlie Dent all voted against the non-binding troop resolution.

These votes can be used to hold these congresscritters accountable in 2008.

The tax cut

Other potentially vulnerable Republicans that voted against the tax cut are Feeney(FL-24), Weldon(FL-15), Pearce(NM-02), Wamp(TN-03), Poe(TX-02), and possibly Akin(MO-02, a Democrat won here in 1990 because of a similar vote of the Republican incumbant).
