Haven't heard anything about the Saucermen From Mars yet, but I'm sure that both of these congressmen are being very, very vigilant.

You're Right, It's Disgusting...

And stunningly racist. You'd expect this kind of thing from a GOP candidate in the South, but in Michigan? Gimme a break.

As a Chinese person, this makes me sick to my stomach. Not because of the racism, but because of the complete lack of understanding by some prominent Americans about the Chinese society.

Let me be clear, THERE IS NO INVASION, okay? Chinese people are as hard working as middle class Americans, they just have different ways of doing stuff, like manufacturing goods. Chinese just have different standards when it comes to product safety and they haven't gotten around to it that Americans have different standards of what is considered safe.

And let's remember, the Chinese needs Americans just as much. Without them buying cheap stuff from them, the Chinese economy would sink faster than a stone thrown into a lake.

To all those talk radio pundits and talk show hosts (LOU DOBBS, I'M TALKING ABOUT YOU), if you actually took the time to interview Chinese people and learn about what their society, history, and economy are like, then maybe you'd tone down your hate-mongering.

I'm also Chinese-American

though I'm culturally more American than Chinese, despite my Chinese parents.

Also, I thought DTMB was Hispanic/Black, for some reason.  oh well.

If it really were, I'd be blessed with a really awesome name.

This is one of my two internet nicknames; this one comes from two characters from Chrono Trigger and one character from Final Fantasy IV.  I've been using it since 2003, though mostly on a few gaming-related forums.  I've only gotten into politics blogs since about 2006.
