Did the invitations get lost in the mail?

HA!
I'm beginning to see a motif here: anemic crowds at Republican events in Louisiana, starting with McCain's cringe-worthy speech in Kenner, and now this.

Let's hope that the lack of enthusiasm for John Neely Kennedy extends through the general election.

Amusingly enough
This picture was also taken in Kenner!

Which list were the invitations sent to?
The Republican supporters list?

Or his old Democratic supporters list?

Stranger mixups have happened.

John Neely Kennedy for Senate
P(l)a(giar)i(se)d from Mary Landrieu for Senate.

Bill Posey is not half-alligator...and is outclassed by Davy Crockett anyway: http://www.washingtonmonthly.c...

Dont Make Fun of JNK
JNK or JUNK (John Unwise Neely Kennedy) as i like to call him shouldn't be taken lightly. Mary Landrieu is hovering around the 50% range which is bad for any incumbent. JUNK has a chance to put our hopes of a filibuster proof Majority in a FUNK

Landreiu always win close races
I remember she barely won the runoff in 2002.

Jindal is a flop after all
I mean some of the stuff he has done so far proves he is more lucky than good.  Blanco was not a great governor and Katrina was the death knell, Jindal stumbled in.  Cayoux's win is more indicative of what is going on down in the Bayou.

Jesse Ventura is in - MN-Sen....
http://www.rasmussenreports.co...

And Rasmussen has a new poll on the 3-way race:

Coleman (R) - 39
Franken (D) - 32
Ventura (I) - 24

Sigh... Ventura is sure to hurt our chances.

The media
are walking that one back already. The Star-Tribune's headline is Ventura denies reports he's running for Senate. Apparently there's some confusion about present vs. future conditional tense.

National Public Radio today reported that Ventura says he's running for the seat, quoting him as saying "I run" because of Senator Norm Coleman's support for the Iraq war. But Ventura tells the Associated Press he had been speaking hypothetically.

That's an old poll....
...from about a month ago.

MN Filing Deadline
is Tuesday July 15th at maybe 5pm.  We'll know then about Jesse and until then - we won't know - because in his two elections he has filed on the last possible day.
