WA primary
It is misleading to suggest Washington voters go to the polls on a particular date for the primary since all but one county will be voting entirely by mail and even Pierce County that will operate some polling places on 8/17 has over 70% mail voting. Like many Washington voters, I received my primary ballot last week and have already returned it.

Well, for our
purposes we're interested in the night when the election results get totaled up and rolled out to the public. (Although I'm sure you'd point out that in close races in Washington, thanks to their use of the mailbox rule, that that winds up being some point on Thursday or Friday afternoon.)

Nullification? Bleh, that's going to pass
and the media is going to jump all over it.  At least people with a brain will scoff like they should, never going to happen.  And they'll probably still call MO some big swing state, but it has a distinctive conservative Southern tinge and it didnt even swing for Obama.

TN- 9: Fincher v. Kirkland v. Flinn
We can't leave out Washington's hand picked, gospel singing, farm subsidy taking, Democratic Primary voting, farming/agro-magnate candidate- Stephen Fincher.

This race is really down to Fincher and Kirkland. The only question is whether Kirkland has the momentum to overtake Fincher, who was/is the front-runner. Flinn is just playing the spoiler, even after spending nearly 3 million out of his own pocket.

Democrat: TN-8

The title should say TN-8
Whoops, the title should say TN-8, not TN-9.

Democrat: TN-8

v4.1
What are the previous versions?

party: Democratic, ideology: moderate, district: CT-01

I came up with that...
More to show there'd been a lot. But from the top of my head:

CA-36: Harman v. Winograd
GA-12: Barrow v. Thomas
OK-02: Boren v. Wilson

Also, the various iterations against Shuler and Kissell in NC.

UT-02
Matheson vs Wright.

[ Parent ]
Heh, Winograd is the only one I'd support, out of those
strategically and ideologically.

There's also TN-09: Cohen vs. Herenton...wait...that's not a blue dog at all, but a very progresive legislator!

(lol)

party: Democratic, ideology: moderate, district: CT-01

And the challenger to Tim Holden in PA-17.

[ Parent ]
IN-9
Baron Hill had a whole gaggle of challengers. None of them spent enough to file FEC reports though and he was renominated with almost 70% of the vote.

The
one who did the best against Hill was a LaRouchie running on a platform of impeaching Obama. I have no clue how she was able to come in second place.

Proud member of the Indiana Democratic Party from IN-9.

Or how won
