    Phew....
Thank goodness KS Dems found someone credible to take on Brownback.

Speaking of slates, question for you, Mike: do you know if we've got anyone running for Secretary of State? I'm a little worried that Kris "Don't Let the Brown People Vote" Kobach could win.

    Nice
    Thanks, Mike.

It is indeed shaping up to be a good ticket after all. And with the Republican moderate vs. conservative smackdown going national, I'm thinking this could be a big year for getting Kansas' infamous moderate Republicans to cross over on a lot of votes.

He seems like he belongs in the "some dude" category
without prior political experience, in a state like Kansas where dems are at a disadvantage it'll be tough.  Sure sweitzer and mark Warner did it, but they had run (though lost) previous races.

Top ten signs you're an SSPer #1: your favorite song is "Panic At Tedisco" and no one understands what you mean.

    Schweitzer and Warner
During their first runs for office, they fit this category and they still came within a few pecentage points of winning.  If he has anywhere near the potential of those two this is going to be a good ticket for Democrats.  Hopefully he can pick a strong runningmate, maybe a moderate Republican like Sebelius did both times, along with Biggs, McKinley, and Six, looks like this is turning into a decent little ticket for the Democrats after all.

    What's with Parkinson?
Anyone know why he refused to run again for Gov?  As of Sept 30th his SUSA approvals as Governor were 53/33 which is amazing given the economic situation.  His approval among republicans is an astonishing 57%, even higher than among Dems.  He could have given Brownback a good race for sure.  Really stinks he won't run.
