California State Legislature Race Ratings (2010)

by: californianintexas

Sat Sep 19, 2009 at 2:33 AM EDT

Here are my SSP-style ratings for the California State Legislature in 2010. In the State Senate table, I listed all the districts, even-numbered, that are up, because there are only 20 of them, and as of now only 3 are somewhat competitive. In the State Assembly table, I listed only the districts that are or could be competitive since all 80 districts there are up. Open seats are in italics.

District details can be found at the 2010 California Race Tracker. Feel free to jump in and add any updates as you find them.

So, best case,
We achieve 2/3 exactly in the Assembly but stay 1 short in the Senate?

That's what it looks like in the Senate.
Only 6 of their 15 seats are up next year, so I think our only bet is the 12th.

Why does Strickland had a PVI D+1.5
But looks like a Repub leaner?

20, Male, Democrat, CA-44 (home) CA-12 (college)

You're confusing Tony with Audra.
Audra Strickland's Assembly district, which she is term-limited out of in 2010, has the R+3.1 PVI. Tony Strickland, who's Senate district is D+1.5, is not up until 2012 when the district will have a different configuration.
