NY-20: Last Days of Tedisco

Looks like it may soon be curtains for Jimmy T-Bags:

A finish line could be in sight in the race for the 20th Congressional District. With the numbers not looking good for Republican Jim Tedisco, sources tell Capital News 9 that Tedisco could concede to Democrat Scott Murphy as soon as Friday afternoon.

Let's only hope! I look forward to seeing Scott Murphy be officially declared the winner and joining the Democratic caucus in the House.

And Norm on the other hand...
is still hanging around

Brilliant headline
We're really on a roll with Tedisco-related headlines. I hope he runs in '10 -- that way we can keep the headlines coming!

All right:
It's about time they wrapped things up in the 20th. We've waited nearly a month for this election to get finished - let's just get Murphy down to Washington when all is said and done so he can get cracking.

.

Too bad there's no "the" before "disco". :\

that picture still upped the value of this thread, lol.

Someone should draw
a TE before Disco and replace the faces of Chloe Sevigny and Kate Beckinsale (who I forgot was in that movie) with Tedisco and Steele.

That picture has scarred my eyeballs now...

What program do you use to shop this stuff?
I'm asking because, as far as I know, MS Paint doesn't know how to handle blank space (and treats it like white space), so it'd be an absolute pain to transfer anything other than rectangular areas.

I did use paint.
And the white spaces I was able to get the program to treat as blank spaces by choosing the clear background on the "cut" option. Since the background of the picture with Steele and Tedisco that I saved wasn't white, I colored the space around their heads white and then chose the clear background in the "cut" option.

And I thought just this movie poster was already hilarious.
Then someone had to photoshop it.

:D.

Burn baby burn!
Tedisco inferno!

Ha!
I did think about including a clip of Olbermann discussing Disco Demolition night from just the other day, but didn't want to look too sore-winnerish. :)

Tedisco fever will die
But Coleman will fight on and on...

I'm not sure
I would use the word "fight" to describe what Normy is doing.  More like "stall."  Coleman will stall on and on.  Yeah, that's got it.

Murphy
Murphy ran a pretty incredible campaign.  I look forward to him taking his seat in Congress.

Murphy should be safe next fall
I don't expect the GOP to be able to mount a serious challenge after this.

That's what I'm thinking
He's somewhere between lean and likely D.  The uncertainty at the top of the ballot could hurt him.  As long as Paterson isn't there we should be ok downballot.

Betty Little
would still be a very strong challenger; she's supposedly very well-liked in her district and has a more moderate reputation than Tedisco. But without a special election, she'd have to give up her safe state senate seat to run, and I don't know if she'd do that even if she had, say, a 40% chance of beating Murphy.

now it's a panic at tedisco
