And so, the Deathwatch concludes:

Oklahoma Rep. Tom Cole has withdrawn from the race to remain chairman of the Republicans' campaign arm in the House, according to numerous GOP aides, allowing Texas Rep. Pete Sessions to fill the post.

We'll miss having you to kick around, Tommy!

Texas Beats Oklahoma Yet Again!

Well
I think that House Republicans should draft Tom Cole to run for a third term, after all, he did manage to keep the Democrats from getting a triple-digit margin in the House :D

Politics and Other Random Topics

24, Male, Democrat, NM-01, Chairman of the Atheist Caucus, and Majority Leader of the "Going to Hell" caucus!

Sessions may be vunerable himself
Since the Delaymander he's never received more than 57% of the vote, even against some fairly weak challengers.

28, Unenrolled, MA-08

We really need to knock off Boehner, Sessions, and Cole.
Preferably simultaneously.

I mean, we don't have DeLay to kick around anymore.

The Plan
Reduce the Republican Party to the Republic of Texas Party, somewhat similar to the Bloc Quebecois in Canada.  They ought to be able to hold on to their 20 House seats and 2 Senate seats that way and may get the 4 House and 2 Senate seats in Oklahoma as well.

so that would literally make them the Republic Party?
lololol Democrat Party

I'm not even sure about that
Texas Dems are on the rise.  They've already obliterated DeLay's Texas State House map, reducing what was supposed to be 95 or so republicans to a slim 76-74 majority.  And some of the supposedly "safe" republican house seats aren't quite so safe anymore.

Maybe Oklahoma then?

Follow the elections in Georgia at the 2010 Georgia Race Tracker.

Probably
Oklahoma, Louisiana and maybe Tennessee are the only states that still seem to be trending republican at all levels of government that I can think of.

I was just going to suggest
that we should cast Gert Frobe as Jon Tester when we finally make the Netroots Movie.

Unfortunately, I looked him up and it turns out Frobe has been dead for 20 years.

You could always cast
Jon Tester as Gert Frobe as Jon Tester.

Or you could cast Bob Conley as Gert Frobe as Jon Tester.
