MN-06: Bachmann Holds Slim Lead in New Poll

Grove Insight for the DCCC (10/10-12, likely voters):

El Tinklenberg (D): 38

Michele Bachmann (R-inc): 42

Undecided: 15

(MoE: ±4.9%)

Interesting numbers. Could there be some truth to them? Well, considering that the NRCC has been canceling buys for GOP “star recruit” Erik Paulsen and shifting them to the 6th District instead, these numbers could very well be close to the truth.

  1. What would be more telling is whether the DCCC actually starts to spend money here themselves.

  2. And Bachmann’s internals apparently only have her up 5.

Go for it DCCC! We can win it this time beacuse we have a decent candidate.

  3. Bachmann, Schmidt, Foxx, Blackburn, and Palin are proof that bat-shittyness is an equal-opportunity affliction.

  4. absentee in person so I can vote for Elwyn Tinklenberg!  WOOO!  Excellent numbers.  I really wasn’t counting on this one.

  5. Nothing new here to us voters in MN-6.  We’ve seen her in action before, including using a church (now in dutch with the IRS for other reasons) to help get her elected. First thing she did when she got to Washington is to grovel around Bush and try to get pictures of her standing next to him every chance she got.

She and Palin are a perfect pair of bookends. What we’ve noticed this time…no Repub yard signs, no bumper stickers until 1 just yesterday, and we’ve had 3 campaign workers at the door…every one Democrat, every one dressed well and a variety of ages.

    Bout time.
