So much for Bill Cassidy being a "major upgrade" over Woody Jenkins for Louisiana Republicans. The DCCC is out with a hard-hitting new attack ad nailing Cassidy for his steadfast support of Social Security privatization (the bad kind of "SSP"):

In 2008, this kind of thing is just utterly toxic.

Southern Fried Populism at its best.

The DLC, of course, would have tried to sell Cazayoux as a free-trade, tax-cutting 'moderate' when we all know on economics the South is practically socialist.

We need to hammer them over this

Social security privatization has got to be more unpopular than it has ever been with the markets in the state they are. Reminding voters of which republicans running for office supporting it should be a priority.
